Facebook Lists
i personally think the list feature is a better way of going
to sort and create your friends lists into different lists is easy but a little time consuming
click > Account then select > Edit Friends then click +Create List
Once you have Created a list of the friends you want in you will see all lists you have created on the left side of edit friends like shown below with my lists
now when you only want people in a list to see your post its easy todo
click the lock icon as shown below and select custom
you will the be presented with another box as shown below
start typing the name of the list you have created that you want to see your posts or the name of a list you do not want to see your posts click save and post to feed
you can make this your default setting just remember when you add new friends to select the list for them to join
and if you want the default setting to be back to friends only after from your status select the lock icon and custon and change to friends only and check mark default setting and save
